Digital Servo Degree Setting Fixture

Use and Instructions

General Instructions

Place the servo over the pins in the degree plate ( do not use the servo grommets ) and lightly press down until the servo rests squarely onto the plate. Next if there is no arm on the servo, you will need to plug the servo into the programmer to find the servo's natural center. After installing the arm, screw the supplied 4-40 bolt and nylon nut into the outermost arm hole and screw down until the point is ALMOST touching the plate (leave enough space that the arm won't scratch and damage plate). Next set the end points and center per the Programmer's instructions.

Futaba Radio System Users Only

Because of a programming difference between the Futaba and Hitec systems there will be a difference in the set points from the programmer and when you plug into a Futaba radio system. This does not effect the end performance. It just requires an extra step and patience.

You will need to set up a blank program in the radio with:

  • all trims at neutral
  • end points at 100%
  • ATV's at 140%.

After installing the arm and setting your initial end and center points, you will need to unplug from the programmer and plug the servo into a receiver and radio that is on. ( I find it easier to write down the programmed #'s for reference). You will find that if you set and end point for 55' it will be +/- 51'. After cycling the servo with the radio, write down the difference in end points and center point. Next, plug the servo back into the programmer, and reset the center and end points by over compensating by the amount it was off: If the radio showed 51' then program to 59'. After completing that process, plug the servo back into the radio and recheck.

This may take a few times to get the feel of it but after you complete a couple iterations, it will go very fast and easy.
